Our community dance division is the education department of Footwork And Sole. Within it, we aim to elevate the quality of training available to dance ministers. Our classes and conferences integrate various dance techniques, are spiritually edifying,
and Biblically sound.

DANCE MINISTRY TRAINING
Liturgical Dance Education
This class gives dance ministers an opportunity to learn about the distinction between praise dance, worship dance, and intercession through dance.

Flag Ministry
Learn about different types of flags, effective flag movements, and what the Bible says about banners.

Dance Ministry Technique
This class features beginner to intermediate kicks, jumps, and turns intended to expand the movement vocabulary of dance ministers.

Improvisational Worship
Defining the difference between interpretative dance and pantomime to help distinguish the difference between mime and dance ministry.



COMMUNITY DANCE CLASSES
Ballet for Brown Girls
This class is a safe space for black and brown girls who want to learn ballet. This class features ballet terminology, ballet barre exercises, and abbreviated black and brown ballet history set against instrumental pop music renditions. The curriculum is structured to emphasize cultural representation and empowerment by enabling the students to see themselves reflected in classical dance context.

Christian Pop
This street jazz class is conducted to Christian Pop music. It is characterized by the upbeat style, syncopated movements, and blend of musical and theatrical elements.

Adult Ballet (Open Level)
Always wanted to take a ballet class, but never got the chance? Here's your opportunity! This is a community ballet class for adults of all levels and abilities. Absolutely no experience required.

Adult Modern (Open Level)
No experience necessary!
This class is community-oriented and structured to teach participants the basics of Horton modern technique and terminology.
